Rion Wentworth
bass
Rion Wentworth joined the bass section of the New York Philharmonic in 2016. He enjoys teaching as a faculty member of the Juilliard School’s Pre College program where he gets to work with the next generation of talented young bass players. Along with playing the bass, Rion loves to be outdoors playing tennis, hiking, rock climbing, and having grand adventures. He also loves exploring New York City’s incredible restaurants and museums. For Rion, being a member of the New York Philharmonic is the realization of a lifelong dream.
