Tabitha Rhee

Tabitha Rhee joined the viola section of the New York Philharmonic in 2023. She recently received her Master of Music at the Juilliard School studying with Misha Amory as a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship. 

In addition to the New York Phil, Ms. Rhee has performed with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Princeton Symphony, Apex Ensemble, and Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players. She is the winner of the Juilliard Concerto Competition and has soloed with the Juilliard Orchestra and as Principal Violist. She has also soloed with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, Madison Symphony Orchestra, and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Tabitha has attended various prestigious music festivals such as the Music@Menlo International Program, Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, Verbier Festival Academy,  Bravo!Vail, Pierce Hill Chamber Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival. Additionally, she has worked closely with esteemed artists such as Roger Tapping, Antoine Tamestit, and Nobuko Imai. 

Ms. Rhee is an alumna of the Music Institute of Chicago Academy where she was a student of Hye-Sun Lee, and Almita and Roland Vamos. She received her Bachelor of Music degree at the Juilliard School as a Kovner Fellow studying with Misha Amory and Heidi Castleman.
